British Lions represents a celebration of British Sikhism in Derby. I come from a creative background. I am fascinated by stories of people characters and the backgrounds that shaped them. As an actor, I enjoy performing in character roles because I am passionate about connecting the audience with a character journey. Being an actor has led me to develop a creative approach to portraiture work particularly theatre stills. 

These three images represents an environment cultural portraiture of British Sikhism in 2016. In Punjabi, Singh means Lion and Sikh men will style their turbans individually. The Turban means peace, tolerance and justice. In the images I wanted to demonstrated Sikh identity and pride in being British Sikh.
